Greg Zimmerman, owner; Dennis Rospert, production manager; Todd Bunce, lead carpenter; Don VanBarg, lead carpenter; and Jason Knauer, lead carpenter, participated in the lead-safe renovator training course on Nov. 5. The training, approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), explains how remodelers, renovators, and painters can protect their employees and homeowners from lead exposure. Presented by the Ohio Center for Lead Abatement with the Corporate for Ohio Appalachian Development, trainers demonstrated the use of personal protective equipment, techniques, set-up and equipment for the Zimmerman Remodeling and Construction staff to work lead-safe.
